This Georgian oak tilt-top table was made in England around 1800 and represents the refined craftsmanship of the late Georgian period.
The table features a circular solid oak top with a diameter of 80 cm, supported by a turned central pedestal resting on three elegantly shaped tripod legs. The original tilt mechanism allows the top to be positioned vertically when not in use, a practical feature characteristic of Georgian furniture.
The oak has developed a rich, warm patina over more than two centuries. The surface shows age-related wear consistent with its period, contributing to the authenticity and charm of the piece.
Originally intended as a centre or tea table, this versatile example works equally well today as:
– Side table
– Centre table
– Occasional table
– Decorative accent piece
Its balanced proportions and classic tripod construction make it suitable for both traditional and contemporary interiors.
Condition
Good antique condition with minor wear consistent with age and use.
