traditionally known as Snowball flowers. The antique artwork, executed in oil on canvas, portrays a refined bouquet of cut

flowers arranged in a vase, featuring a harmonious composition of white and red flowers, resting on a surface draped

with a warm-toned cloth.

The loose, textured brushwork, typical of French painting from the late 19th to early 20th century, reveals a masterful

Georges (Louis-)Georges Mouton (1862–1924) was a French painter, born in 1862 in Rennes, France. He exhibited regularly

at the Salon des Artistes Français from 1893 to at least 1920.

After spending approximately sixteen years in Algeria, Mouton returned to France in 1908, resuming regular exhibitions and receiving

notable recognition, including a silver medal in 1910 at the Salon des Artistes Français.

The antique painting is presented in a carved wooden frame. Both the oil painting and the antique frame have been professionally restored.
