While the U-453 sideboard is widely recognised and highly collectible, this particular example stands apart. The original model, typically measuring 110 cm in width and featuring two horizontal rows of Formica drawers, has here been thoughtfully shortened to 58 cm and fitted with just a single row of drawers. We have never encountered another version configured in this way. Whether created as a special commission or a custom interior solution, it may well be a one-off piece - a rare deviation within a celebrated production line. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
