German teapot/kettle, traditionally made from pure copper in a simple and classic design. Manufactured in the early 20th century by the renowned Esslingen metal goods factory Christian Wagner, whose roots go back 500 years. A company that was famous for precision and sustainability. The family business closed in 1990.
The surface is smooth and shiny, with typical minimal signs of use but no damage. A bulbous, pear-shaped body with a dome-shaped lid. The main handle and the handle on the lid are wrapped in woven rattan - typically used as heat protection and for a better grip.
Base mark: Christian Wagner Rein Kupfer.
Condition: Authentic patina, no leaks.
