Kaiser is particularly well known for producing the famous Bauhaus lamps designed by Christian Dell, which have become classics of modern design. Alongside these, the firm created a wide range of sculptural ceramic lamps during the Mid-Century and post-war decades, combining functional design with expressive glazing.
The base features a bold, architectural form composed of stacked spherical elements, finished in a deep glossy green glaze that reflects light beautifully. Minor chips to the glaze are present in places, discreetly retouched and consistent with age. The lamp retains its original manufacturer’s label on the underside.
It has been professionally rewired for modern use and is fitted with a standard E27 socket. The shade is new, covered in matte black cotton on the exterior, providing a striking contrast to the lustrous ceramic surface, while the gold interior creates a warm, atmospheric light directed upward and downward.
