The top is crafted in richly figured exotic hardwood with a refined radial veneer pattern. At its center, a brass star inlay defines the composition.
Metal inlay into wood is an exceptionally demanding cabinetmaking technique. The brass must be recessed with extreme precision to achieve a perfectly flush surface, ensuring structural integrity and long-term stability. This level of craftsmanship reflects the highest standards of 1940s Italian production.
The sculptural pedestal base is entirely carved wood, fluted and elegantly tapered. It rests on a circular plinth in deep red Rosso Levanto marble, adding weight, contrast and architectural authority.
