Beautiful vintage Asian black lacquer cabinet featuring intricate raised figural scenes and detailed landscape motifs throughout.
This statement piece showcases hand-applied raised hardstone / mother-of-pearl style inlays depicting traditional Chinese figures in courtyard and garden settings. The top, sides, and doors all display detailed scenic artwork with gold accents and etched decorative borders. It includes a removeable glass panel that sits on the top of the cabinet.
The cabinet includes:
• Two upper drawers
• Two lower cabinet doors
• Interior shelving for storage
• Original brass hardware (see photos)
The craftsmanship and dimensional applied figures give this piece wonderful depth and texture — much more striking in person than standard flat lacquer pieces.
