Transliteration: Bismillah ir-Rahman ir-Rahim
Translation: “In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.”

This is the opening phrase of the Qur’an and one of the most commonly displayed Islamic calligraphic inscriptions. It is traditionally recited before beginning any important action and is often placed in homes as a blessing and invocation of divine mercy.

The central inscription is framed within a striking circular medallion surrounded by vibrant turquoise, deep cobalt blue, and terracotta floral motifs. The symmetrical design and traditional Anatolian styling reflect classic Turkish artistry, blending faith and ornament in a beautifully balanced composition.

Historically, tiles like this were often placed in homes as spiritual protection and decorative blessings, celebrating both faith and craftsmanship.
