Large 20" x 24" Signed Steve LeBailly Original Oil – "Fort la Latte, St. Malo Bay"
A substantial and atmospheric 20" x 24" original oil on canvas by late Seattle artist Stephen "Steve" B. LeBailly (1947–2024). This evocative landscape captures the historic 14th-century fortress of Fort la Latte (Château de la Roche Goyon) overlooking the dramatic St. Malo Bay. The work showcases LeBailly’s signature warm palette and expressive brushwork. The reverse features an original artist's label with the title "La Latte - Lords of Matignon," further hand-signed by the artist and including his historical Seattle studio address. Sold unframed, this large-scale work is a perfect candidate for a statement frame to suit traditional or transitional interiors.
Dimensions:
Canvas: 24" W x 20" H
Provenance:
From a private estate. Steve LeBailly was a prolific Northwest artist whose multi-decade career frequently explored the intersection of nature, history, and travel. This piece highlights his deep connection to French architectural history.
