Beautiful, durable mixing and serving bowls. These two bowls are part of the rainbow collection manufacturerd by Anchor Hocking/ Fire king in the late 1950's. I had the honor of having my grandmother cook and serve holiday meals from these very bowls my whole life, so did my father.
The bowls features the iconic raised swirl pattern and vibrant "fired on" pastel finishes over milk glass.
The soft, cheerful coral- pink bowl is a 9 inch mixing bowl and was my grandmother's absolute favorite one! This bowl is in very good vintage condition with only minor surface marks consistent with light, careful use.
The medium 7-inch Turquoise bowl is a classic MCM teal/turquoise. It maintains its lustrous color.
Both pieces are free of any nips, chips, cracks or breaks. The interior of the bowls are clean and the fired on exterior colors are remarkably pretty to be almost 80 years old. They are oven-proof glassware and a rare find together. They should be handwashed only to maintain their colors and prevent dishwasher haze.
