The smaller one is about 12 inches long by 5 inches deep and nearly 4 1/2 inches high. The wooden top of both of these storage shelves are made from maple wood and has the grain of maple going through it. It should be noted the base of these units are made of a metal material and is sturdy. Both have open space in them for secret storage. I purcashed these most unusual shelving units from the 1980's from a private dealer in McCall, ID. They are sold as a pair. See less
