It was … Read more This item is an incredibly rare Monrovia Hagen Renaker Double Siamese Cat Wall Plaque, a Mid-Century Modern decor. It was manufactured in California by Hagen Renaker a pottery based company known for detailed animal figurines and decorative pieces. This specific "faux rock" palques were made for a very short period between 1959 and 1960. The plaque is crafted from pottery/ceramic textured to resemble natural Arizona Flagstone or sandstone also known as chalkware. It features a stylized "Double Siamese Cat" design with blue eyes, intended to look like a primative cave painting on rock. It measures approximately 16.5 inches in height and 12 inches in width.
