The wood is probably pine stained a dark color. The drawers have cute little knobs. Please note: the drawers are two different sizes and the fronts don’t completely meet the edge of the drawer above. This would work well on a desktop as a little storage cabinet for stamps, envelopes, writing instruments, paper clips, etc. or maybe to store sunglasses….costume jewelry? See less
