Mid century modern sled leg dining chairs by Vamdrup Stolefabrik, made in Denmark c. 1970s. The design is both familiar and unique, sharing the floating seats, guitar neck rear leg posts, and exposed finger joints of Erik Buck’s iconic Model 49 chair. At the same time, the tufting of the seatbacks and the sled leg bases are uncommon among Danish Modern designs from the era.
The seats and backs are upholstered in a neutral tweed fabric that preserves the original character of the chairs. Sturdy, stylish, and comfortable.
The frames are sturdy and in excellent original condition. The fabric has been professionally cleaned, looking almost new.
