This Antique Renaissance Revival oval center hall table is a striking example of late 19th century craftsmanship, designed to command attention in a grand foyer, gallery, or formal sitting room. Richly carved and architecturally composed, this piece features dramatic barley twist columns rising from a sculptural pedestal base with deeply carved acanthus scroll feet.
The oval top presents a warm, beautifully grained surface framed by a scalloped apron edge. Beneath, four barley twist supports rise from a shaped platform stretcher centered with a carved finial, creating a visually dynamic profile from every angle. The table is finished in a warm walnut tone that highlights the depth of carving and wood grain throughout.
This is not a conventional dining table — its proportions and sculptural base make it ideal as a statement center hall, gallery, or library table where it can be appreciated in the round.
