Pine Tree Mirage invites a second look. What first reads as a lake is actually shadow — a playful visual shift that turns a quiet landscape into something a bit unexpected.
Painted en plein air in my backyard, this piece captures a fleeting moment of light, color, and atmosphere observed directly from life. Simplified shapes and confident outlines give the trees and grasses a stylized presence, while layered blues, greens, and violets create depth and rhythm across the scene. The result is both grounded in observation and gently interpretive.
This painting balances calm and vibrancy, making it well suited for collectors who enjoy landscapes with a contemporary, design-friendly feel. It brings color and a sense of openness to a space without overwhelming it.
