A natural late 20th century organic modern rattan wicker dining table or center table from the estate of late California … Read more A natural late 20th century organic modern rattan wicker dining table or center table from the estate of late California Senator Dianne Feinstein, San Fransisco, CA (1933-2023). The table is attributed to Michael Taylor featuring subtle "ghost" style design with a flared, draped skirt base. The substantial round base is topped with a thick round glass top. The base features a scalloped star shape or five-leaf clover design on the top having a thick braided border and inset with a woven grasscloth cane cap which is visible through the glass. The base is constructed from tightly hand-woven rattan wicker in a warm honey-toned finish with a braided edging along the undulating bottom edge. The table blends Taylor's California Coastal design with Palm Beach, and Organic Modern creating a piece usable as a dining table, center table, pedestal display, or a breakfast table. The rattan has a desirable aged patina with solid joinery and construction. The substantial glass top measures 0.75" thick with a 48 inch diameter. The base alone measures 26" wide and deep and 28.5" high. Beautiful profile with an interesting provenance.
