The design features ornate Rococo foliage, scrolls, and a center medallion. Frames is expertly crafted from gilt brass/ bronze ormolu. Imagine this screen is probably 250 years old and yet is as sturdy as the day it was made! Obviously beautiful for decorative purposes, but 100% usable for original means!

To make these screens, they would forge a front framework and a back framework that tucks inside the front framework. The screening is enveloped into the front framework and held in by the back framework with strong, sturdy brass screws. Study the photos of the back to see the incredible craftsmanship.

While the brass/ bronze has the classic goldish hue, the protective mesh screening has more of an Ebony black color, giving contrast to the scrolled framework design and center medallion.

Screen measures and is heavy - but not heavy to carefully package and ship.
