A genuine pre-war American cedar hope chest from Richmond Cedar Works of Norfolk, Virginia, branded “Cedarstor.”
This piece carries the warmth and character of the late 1930s–early 1940s, featuring a classic waterfall lid, solid white cedar interior, and its original “Moth Insurance Policy” advertisement still attached inside the lid, a wonderful period detail rarely preserved.
The interior cedar remains intact and aromatic, designed to protect linens and keepsakes for generations.
