An impressive set of four studio ceramic art tea cups, created by the renown ceramist duo Elli and Walter Serocka, whose studio was based in Xanten, Germany and in the Friesland region of the Netherlands.
These fine stoneware objects were created during the 1970s. They are inspired by traditional rustic drinking vessels. The cups feature glazes in hues of white-grey over dark clay bodies, which creates unique contrasts. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
however it is well documented in design history. I take full responsibility for any authenticity
issues arising from misattribution
