The black ground functions as a neutral field where the plastic impulse of pink and the small blue accretions create a direct, playful contrast. The piece maintains a formal rhythm reminiscent of dominoes—tiles, limits, repetition—but subverts it through naïf gestures and seemingly innocent objects that turn unsettling: a tension between play and estrangement characteristic of Vera Vizzi’s practice. Designed to operate individually or as part of multiple-panel configurations, the work is fully scalable and can be arranged in sequences or installations adapted to the exhibition or domestic space.
