It … Read more Original watercolor painting of a “Little Desert Bird.” I actually watched this bird’s mother and father build their nest. It was on my front porch right next to a window which gave me a front row seat to watch them everyday. After the mother laid her eggs, the mother and father took turns sitting on the 4 eggs. After the eggs hatched, they took turns feeding their babies all day long for 3 weeks. Then the parents taught the birds to fly. The painting shows one of the baby birds resting after its first flight. The blue flowers are larkspur that I grew on my flower farm.
The painting is 8 x 10 inches, unframed.
It was painted on Arches 100% cotton 140 LB paper from France.
Daniel Smith professional archival watercolor paints were used.
