Simple at its core, the Nuage BL consists … Read more The Nuage BL implements Charlotte Perriand's system of modularity into a bookcase. Simple at its core, the Nuage BL consists of individual vertical metal components and oak horizontal components, connected by threaded rods at the corders of the metal modules. Each layer is modular making it customizable. In theory the bottom layer could be on the top and vice versa.

Cassina reintroduced Perriand's masterpiece with the Nuage collection, a series of Mexique bookcases and Bloc Bahut. The tall bahut, listed here, remains in the Cassina collection today.

This particular example is uncommon with the anodized aluminum case components and doors accented by darker gray doors. The two-tone grayscale look is a fresh take on what is normally black or primary-colored.

Four adjustable shelves are included: two small shelves and two large shelves. It is pictured with shelves only on the bottom level. The doors slide from side-to-side uninhibited and can be removed easily if you prefer an open bookcase. See less
