A spectacular and rare 1940s English fairground panel from the center of a merry-go-round, featuring a dramatic large-scale nautical oil painting of a tall ship at sea. Richly detailed with billowing sails and cresting waves, this vintage carnival piece is framed by ornate hand-painted scrollwork in gilt tones against a deep blue ground.
