Likely Austrian or Southern German in origin, this classic three-piece step-back cabinet embodies the warmth and practicality of rural European craftsmanship.

The upper section features three glazed display compartments fitted with original period glass, showing subtle waviness consistent with age. Below the central cabinet are two drawers flanked by open display cubbies, offering both function and visual balance. The lower section provides generous storage with two full-width drawers, a vertical stack of smaller center drawers, and two paneled cabinet doors.

Constructed entirely of solid pine with hand-cut dovetail joinery and plank backs, the cupboard retains its original iron hinges and escutcheons along with white porcelain knobs. The surface shows a warm honey-toned patina developed naturally over more than a century.

At 61.5 inches wide and 73 inches high, this piece is exceptionally versatile substantial yet scaled for modern interiors. Importantly, it breaks down into three sections for easier transport and installation, a significant advantage for stairways and tighter entryways.
