Exceptional Art Deco/Art Nouveau bookcase from around 1920, distinguished by its clear, powerful design and simultaneously refined decorative details. The balanced proportions, the black base, and the slightly projecting cornice lend the piece a confident, serene presence. Particularly noteworthy are the beautifully crafted chessboard inlays in the lower door panels, which give the cabinet a graphic depth and demonstrate high-quality craftsmanship. The floral, radiating glass pattern of the upper door panels is original and typical of the transition from Art Nouveau to Art Deco – elegant, translucent, yet striking. The cabinet comes with a key and is in very good, professionally restored original condition. The restoration was carried out expertly and discreetly, with great respect for the material, surface, and character of the piece. The interior is lined with a wool-like scent, giving it a high-quality, well-maintained appearance. Currently, a clothes rail is installed inside.
