we are offering an exceptional and extremely rare mid-century vintage leather lounge sofa in the brutalist brazilian modern style.
the 3-seater sofa—model mp-91 “earth”—also often referred to as model mp-163—was designed and produced in brazil during the 1960s and 1970s by the renowned furniture manufacturer percival lafer.
percival lafer is a contemporary brazilian furniture manufacturer and a pioneer of brazilian modernism.
this charismatic sofa is crafted from high-quality genuine leather (smooth leather).
the seat shell is identical to that of the well-known design object, the “earth chair,” by percival lafer.
the frame is made of fine, solid hardwood: jatoba

distinctive features include the beautiful patinated dark brown leather, the organically curved seat shell—which appears to float—and the angular, minimalist base.
