Exquisitely beautiful and rare Vintage L&F Moreau 3-setting, dual lamp. Foundry marked, Collection Francaise Made in USA" around a fleur-de-lis. Could not find this particular lamp on any website other than Worth Point when researching. It is said that the mold for the original lamp was created by two French brothers who went under the name L&F Moreau and hid their designs during WWII, for fear they would be seized by invading Nazis; these molds were forgotten until their discovery in 1948. J.B. Hirsch's lighting company recreated their beautiful Art Nouveau designs for its Francaise Collection, which is made in the USA.
The lamp had a foundry mark on the base and side, and features a young idyllic boy and girl pheasant harvesters. It stands atop an oval base with a motif border. It is topped with palm finials. The lamp has a cord and a switch at the rear base of the lamp. It is in great working condition. Minimal chipping to paint. Tried to take as many photos as possible showing slight blemishes. Amazing condition considering its age. It has not been refinished, repainted, chemically cleaned, reveal or altered in any way. I've left it in its original condition. Every blemish is part of its unique history. The cleaning will be left to buyer. The lamp is heavy. It weighs 13lbs (not the shipping weight).
The lamp stands at a height of 22", socket to socket, 16" across. Base is 9-3/4W x 6-3/4L. The lamp is made of, bronze, spelter, cast, or another type of metal. Heavy and solid. Please view photos carefully before purchasing.
