A set of six cherry wood dining chairs consisting of four arms and two sides by Arden Riddle (1921–2011), an … Read more A set of six cherry wood dining chairs consisting of four arms and two sides by Arden Riddle (1921–2011), an important American studio craftsman who produced his distinctive handmade furniture for more than half a century. After serving in World War II, he studied furniture-making in Grand Rapids before moving to Akron, Ohio. He opened Arden Riddle Furniture and Gallery in nearby Copley, Ohio, in 1950. Arden rarely had employees to assist him in his workshop and although he operated for more than 50 years, his output was limited enough that his meticulously crafted works are considered quite rare today.

Arm chairs measure 30" to top of frame, 32" to top of cushion; 22" wide, 24" deep, seat height 18".

Side chairs measure 30.25" to top of frame, 33" to top of cushion; 24" deep, 18" wide, 18" seat height. See less
