The warm-toned wood veneer is arranged in a subtle radial pattern, enhancing the sense of movement around the apron. Four gently tapering legs descend with elegant curvature, each applied with gilt bronze mounts in the form of foliate drops and terminating in stylized animal paw feet. A shaped stretcher unites the legs and supports a circular undertier fitted with a pierced ormolu gallery, forming a basket-like tray centered with a decorative stone or marble insert.
