Herbert Terry No. 1209 Anglepoise desk lamp from the late 1930s, featuring four-spring design, slim steel arms, domed metal shade, and square cast-iron base. This early production model (1933-1968) is sometimes also referred to as Model 1208 in collector terminology. Press button on/off switch mounted on shade.
The 1209 represents one of the earliest production models following George Carwardine's original Anglepoise design, manufactured by Herbert Terry & Sons in Redditch. This piece has an attribution mark,
