Condition Report (Imperfections)
Please review all photos carefully as they serve as the primary visual record of condition.
The Print:
• Foxing: There are light reddish-brown "age spots" (foxing) scattered throughout the cream-colored paper, consistent with its 70+ year age.
• Tide Marks: Some light moisture waving/staining is visible along the very edges of the paper near the frame line.
• Colors: The botanical colors remain remarkably bright and have not suffered significant sun fading.
The Frame & Glass:
• Frame Wear: The carved wood frame is in strong structural condition. There is minor surface wear and small "flea bites" (tiny nicks) to the finish, particularly on the outer edges, which adds to its antique character.
• Dust Cover: The brown paper backing is intact but shows significant water staining and some tearing (see photos). This does not affect the front of the artwork but is noted for transparency.
• Glass: Original glass is present. It has been cleaned but may show minor surface micro-scratches typical of vintage glass.
