Nice vintage set of four Lao skirt panels.
The Laos people are known for their intricate geometric patterns and vibrant colors. These pieces showcase the rich culture heritage and skilled craftsmanship of various ethnic groups in Laos.
Panels are often created using the weft weaving technique, known as chok in Laos. This method allows for the creation of complex, colorful motifs on a base fabric. Materials used were hand-spun cotton and silk. These typical textiles have various traditional uses, shoulder cloths or sashes.
Purchased while traveling Asia 1980’s, stored since, never used. Pictures show you each me every angle, no hidden damages.
