beautiful sculptural japanese ceramic bowl in great glaze by acclaimed potter Yoshio Kangawa. Never used for matcha / tea, just used decoratively - new. One of a kind. approx. 4 x 4.5 x 3.25"h
Born in 1963 in Yamaguchi Prefecture. Currently bases in Hiroshima City. He creates vessels with a comfortable surface, intend the user to place their palms every day. Utilizes a wood-fired kiln to make a wide variety of pottery. He is also a specialist of making semi-porcelain known as "Katate", mainly for rice and tea bowls.
