The wall sconces correspond to the swan model by Maison Lucien Gau, a Parisian bronze art manufacturer specializing in bronze lighting since 1860, still active today. Model Identification • Composition in gilt bronze, Empire style decoration (palmettes, stylized leaves) and swans supporting the light arms, exactly like the Lucien Gau "swan wall sconces." • Antique gold finish enhanced with Empire green on the candle cups and the base, a characteristic detail of Lucien Gau's production of this model. Selency +1 • The dimensions and overall shape (2 to 3 arms, facing swans, a row of palmettes) are very close to pairs dating from the 1960s-1970s sold on the secondary market. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
