Designed by Ian Spalding, the post-modernist style features a vibrant color palette that includes intense tones of orange, green, gray, and fuchsia pink, with a black frame that creates a sharp and sophisticated contrast. The Art Deco motifs are represented by bold geometric patterns and elegant lines, capturing the essence of an iconic era yet with a contemporary vibrancy.
This rug is the result of a collaboration between designer Ian Spalding and the historic Scottish textile company Craigie Stockwell, a Scottish company with deep roots in the textile industry dating back to 1755, when Samuel Stockwell began his apprenticeship as a weaver. Since then, the family has maintained the tradition, evolving to the present day under the guidance of the Craigie family.
