Fossil moon xxv explores time and memory through the circular form, a symbol of cycles and celestial bodies. The piece is constructed from two carved alabaster elements that, once joined, complete the circle while preserving the rock's original outer crust. The alabaster surfaces evoke a fossilized moon shaped by erosion and the passage of time. Their natural veins and textures recall a petrified landscape, a remnant of a vanished world. The mirror introduces reflection as a temporal gesture: it not only returns the viewer's image, but reminds us that every present moment is already becoming memory. Based in the pyrenees, amarist studio works from a context closely connected to stone, territory, and slow natural dynamics. This environment informs the studio’s sensitivity toward equilibrium, transformation, and the passage of time.
