An elegant, antique candlestick by the renowned french silversmith félix chéron, made in paris in the second half of the 19th century. The piece bears chéron's maker's mark, consisting of the letters "f" and "c" surmounted by a crown.
it is important to note that this f. Chéron mark was used for silver-plated items, not sterling silver. The manufactory was acquired by the well-known company christofle in 1877.
