This model is a fine example of Scandinavian modernism — clean geometry, layered construction, and soft, glare-free illumination. The lamp features concentric, stepped rings that shield the light source and create a warm, atmospheric glow.

The wide blue central band gives the lamp a strong graphic and slightly futuristic presence, characteristic of 1960s space-age influenced design. The construction combines lacquered metal with light-diffusing elements.

“Ultra” is one of Hammerborg’s recognizable designs and a strong representation of mid-century Danish lighting.
