A pair of wall lamps, model 4300, produced by the renowned Swedish manufacturer Bröderna Malmströms Metallvarufabrik in the early 1950s. The model was introduced in 1951. Crafted from brass with two arms fitted with original brass lampholders. Each fixture is decorated with a beautifully cast leaf branch. Black textile lampshades included (later replacements). Bröderna Malmströms Metallvarufabrik (1904–1974) was a leading Swedish producer of modernist lighting founded in Malmö by brothers Sven and Hugo Malmström. Known for collaborations with designers like Carl-Axel Acking and its role in Swedish Modern, the company crafted elegant, functional armatur for residential and institutional use. Renowned for innovations like Sweden’s first S-marked lamp holders in 1932 and its contributions to Swedish Modern design—featured at the 1939 New York World’s Fair—it also produced steel tube furniture. After merging and relocating in the late 1950s, operations ceased in 1974. Today, its vintage pieces are highly sought after in Scandinavian mid-century design.
