Born in Pécs, Hungary, in 1902, Breuer was one of the leading figures of the Bauhaus from a very young age, joining as a student at 18 and immediately becoming a teacher (from 1922 to 1928). Walter Gropius, director of the school, invited him to head the furniture workshop, and it was in this context that Breuer was able to carry out some of his most important experiments, combining art, industrial production, and craftsmanship. Cesca is undoubtedly one of his most successful works, together with the B3 armchair, later also known as Wassily. This piece has an attribution mark,
