ARP Sideboard by Pierre Guariche, J-A Motte, Minvielle Edition. Vintage sideboard from the Atelier de Recherches Plastiques (ARP), composed of designers Pierre Guariche, Michel Mortier, and Joseph-André Motte, for the Minvielle edition. (1954) This model is finished in mahogany.
The best of French design in 1954 is embodied in this piece of furniture, which perfectly captured modernism: functionality, modularity, and clean lines. This low sideboard is divided into two sections: one with two original black sliding glass doors, and the other a chest of drawers with three drawers and dovetail joinery. The original base is a black plinth, which was offered in the catalog at the time. Very good vintage condition.
