Antique French gilt wall mirror, featuring a gold-gilded frame adorned with simple yet delicate detailing. These mirrors are frequently from the 18th or 19th century and crafted from giltwood and gesso.
This item features a simple banded outter frame edge with a concave design and inner leaf style beaded detailing along the inner edge. Gold gilt finish is full face and all 4 side returns. There are visual distress areas on front face, also shown in images here. Structurally this piece is very sturdy and stable.
Mirror is orginal and without chips or scratches, but does have some small areas of Foxing which adds to the visual appeal of this antique piece.
Suitable for both modern and traditional interiors.
