The "Leona" chair is one of McGuire's most iconic and beautiful chair styles designed by Elinor McGuire in the 1970s. The rare chair features a sinuous loop back splat inside a square frame. The arms are 25 inches high at the end. The seats have a fitted loose seat cushion with an upholstered pad featuring a vibrant green and yellow tone having a bird and foliate motif. The fabric while being vintage still shows well and is still presentable. The chairs are sturdy and solid with excellent joinery and craftsmanship. The pole rattan is lashed together with an abundance of leather rawhide laces. Custom ordered bespoke chairs with a pearl M on the backs and McGuire plaques under the seats. Handsome profile with a deep rich finish on the rattan. The rattan and leather have a desirable aged patina. Sold as a set of 6. From an estate in Napa, California.
