This oversized domed-top pine blanket chest features handcut dovetails, original iron escutcheon, handles, and hinges, and a built-in candlebox/storage till. Based on its style and construction, it was produced in the late 1800's/early 1900's, likely in England. No maker's mark or stamp remains.
The chest is structurally sound with a warm, rustic patina. It would fit well within a number of design plans, from rustic farmhouse to boho to primitive. Its large size makes it ideal for storing blankets/linens, pillows, clothes, or toys.
