This imposing sculptural table lamp, crafted in the Art Nouveau style, is estimated to date back to the mid-20th century (1950s) but clearly classically inspired.

Subject and Style: The base is a refined, full-relief figurative sculpture depicting a young woman (a nymph or allegorical figure) in draped robes, captured in the act of picking flowers or dancing. from the naturalistic base rises a curved metal branch adorned with leaves, supporting the light source as if it were a blooming flower. The lampshade is a splendid white frosted glass corolla with a wavy edge, diffusing a soft, atmospheric light.

Material and Finish: The sculpture is crafted from bronze with a magnificent dark/burnished patina that enhances its volumes and anatomical details. The quality of this piece is attested by its substantial weight of nearly 4.5 kg. The base is engraved with the signature "Moreau" (identified as Farlel Moreau), a famous family of French sculptors active between the 19th and 20th centuries.
