Fantastic danish teak chairs by funder schmidt & madsen, odense (denmark). A wonderful combination of timeless form, solid craftsmanship and really nice seating comfort. A wonderfully nice chair for those who want something with character, comfort and danish design history – ready to be put in place and used immediately.
the chairs were made in the 1950s and 60s and are made of beautiful teak with a soft, elegant expression that only really good danish furniture craftsmanship can achieve. Here you can see that care has been taken with every detail, the lines are well balanced, the transitions are soft and the whole feels both luxurious and natural in the room. It is the type of chair that lifts a dining table immediately, and that continues to fascinate year after year.
the design is not only stylish, it is also well thought out with nice comfort. The back legs are shaped so that the back tray, mounted between the pairs of legs, meets the back in a really comfortable way. In addition, the backrest is slightly curved, which provides natural support and makes you want to stay seated for an extra moment.
the seat is softly rounded and has new padding with high load-bearing capacity, which provides a comfortable and stable seating experience. The chairs are also reupholstered in a mustard yellow bouclé fabric, marlon from nevotex. A high-quality fabric with a fine structure that provides a warm, modern contrast to the teak. A combination that feels both classic and updated at the same time.
the legs are connected, providing extra stability, and all chairs are stamped in the chair frame.
