This sculptural pendant lamp was designed by Friedel Wauer for Goldkant Leuchten in Germany. The lamp features an organic, oval form constructed using the cocoon technique, where a translucent resin-like material is sprayed over an internal structure. This technique comes from world famous designer Achille Castiglioni, Italy. When illuminated, the shade emits a warm, diffused glow that highlights its delicate fibrous texture and subtle vertical ribbing. The design reflects the experimental and forward-looking spirit of Mid-Century German lighting, balancing technical innovation with soft, atmospheric light.
