The Panton Chair is a true icon in the history of modern furniture design. Conceived by Danish designer Verner Panton in 1959, the chair was later developed for serial production in close collaboration with Vitra in 1967. Revolutionary for its time, it became the first chair made entirely from (polypropylene) plastic in a single molded piece, featuring an elegant cantilever form. Both sculptural and functional, the Panton Chair is stackable and suitable for indoor as well as outdoor use.
