Hermes Pani La Shar Pawnee silk scarf, 2005, designed by Oliver Kermit.
This scarf pays homage to the Pawnee, a tribe originating from the plains of Nebraska and Kansas, who were forced into exile on the Indian reservations of Oklahoma at the end of the 19th century. Pani La Shar Pawnee, in parade dress, holding a peace pipe, poses with noble dignity. Peace pipes and bison heads appear at the corners. Horses and riders inspired by the sketchbooks of Karl Bodmer are depicted on the border. This Pani La Shar Pawnee scarf is the first square scarf created by Oliver Kermit in 1984.
This decorative scarf is a magnificent collector's item and decorative piece.
